Partner program
The partner program lets CAD libraries, communities and creators earn a share of the revenue from customers they refer to Prompt2CAD.
This page is for partners
It describes how attribution and revenue share work once you're set up as a partner. The program is invite-only for now — there is no self-serve signup. If you have an audience that might benefit from Prompt2CAD, email support@prompt2cad.com.
Your referral link
Every partner gets a slug and a link shaped like:
https://prompt2cad.com/?ref=your-slugThe link works on any public page (/, /use-cases/..., /models/..., blog posts) — just append ?ref=your-slug to the URL.
You can also add standard campaign tags to your links, e.g. ?ref=your-slug&utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=may. They don't affect attribution or commissions (those are keyed on your slug alone) — they let us break your traffic down by campaign and help you see which of your channels performs best.
How attribution works
Attribution is first-touch: the first partner link a visitor follows before signing up wins. A later partner link does not re-attribute them while the attribution is alive.
When someone signs up after following your link:
- They are attributed to you if their account was created after they followed your link, and they had no prior payment history with Prompt2CAD.
- Visitors who were already Prompt2CAD customers are not attributed — they appear in your dashboard as "existing customer" so the numbers stay honest, but they never earn commission.
- The attribution is locked in at signup and lasts for your attribution window (in days — agreed when you join, typically 365). Every payment the customer makes inside that window earns your share.
What you earn
You earn your percentage of the net revenue of each payment — the amount the customer paid minus payment processing fees — for every purchase the attributed customer makes inside your attribution window.
The dashboard shows both the net attributed revenue and your share, so you can always check the math.
The dashboard
You get a private dashboard link shaped like:
https://prompt2cad.com/partner?slug=your-slug&k=your-secret-tokenOpen it and the credentials are remembered on that device (you can sign out from the dashboard at any time). It shows:
- Conversion funnel — how referred visitors progress: link clicks → signups → generated a model (actually used the product) → paid. Each stage shows the count and the drop-off percentage from the previous one.
- Attributed customers — new customers credited to you, and excluded attempts (existing customers) listed separately.
- Per-customer detail — each customer row expands to show every payment: date, net amount, and your share for that transaction (emails are partially masked for privacy — we don't expose your customers' full addresses).
- Net attributed revenue and your share — split into due (pending payout) and paid.
- Monthly breakdown for the last 6 months.
Payouts
Commissions accumulate as due until they're paid out. Payouts are manual for now: we settle by the agreed schedule (typically monthly) via bank transfer or Stripe, and the dashboard rows flip to paid. There is no minimum threshold, but small amounts are usually batched into the next cycle.
What this is not
- Not a cookie network — attribution is decided once, at signup, and is not transferable between partners.
- Not for existing customers — you can't claim commission for people who already had a Prompt2CAD account or had paid us before your referral.
- Not self-serve — rates, windows and dashboards are set up by the Prompt2CAD team.
Questions
Something look off in your dashboard — a click you expected, a customer you can't see? Email support@prompt2cad.com with your partner slug and we'll look into it.
